> Ask A Question > Add A Comment from Georgette S. in CA - May 13, 2008 Does the company load from a storage unit? I will be in Pa house hunting, and would like my belongings moved when the home closes--probably 30 days Georgette,
Yes, Movex can certainly provide moving truck service at storage facilities. You will need to check with the facility manager to find out where we can park the moving van. All storage places have a staging area because moving vans load in and out of them on a daily basis.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Gloria W. in MI - May 12, 2008 It is just me and my 2 daughters moving would the driver be able to help with the larger items that we cant move ourselves? Gloria,
I would recommend going to the link at the top of the page for loading and unloading labor. Eagle labor managment can provide you excellent help at a low cost. That way, you have guaranteed help. Some of the moving truck drivers will help, but not all of them do.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Jeannie Q. in WA - May 7, 2008 Can you provide local movers as references to us? Jeannie,
We would recommend the link at the top of our homepage "Loading and Unloading". Eagle Labor Mgmt has movers that they work with in most major markets that can help you with loading and unloading.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Brenda T. in TX - May 6, 2008 Does the driver offer assistance regarding loading procedures to ensure save passage? Brenda,
While the driver can offer guidance in how to load the moving truck, it is ultimately the customers decision as to how to load their goods as this is a self-service option for moving.
Making Moving Easier, MOvex from Paul M. in MI - April 30, 2008 How much time is provided for loading and unloading for a 53 ft trailer? Paul,
Our standard loading and/or unloading time on a full truck is 12 hours. More time is available at an additional charge. Our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839 can give you more details and pricing.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from w W. in NY - April 14, 2008 Do you leave the truck for loading? If so how long can you leave the truck for loading? The amount of time allowed for loading and unloading varies with the amount of space that you have reserved on the moving truck. For security and safety reasons, the driver stays with the moving van during the loading process. We do not leave vehicles overnight unless the entire moving truck has been ordered and the overnight parking is requested by the customer.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Debbie J. in IL - April 6, 2008 What is the time window for the truck to arrive on moving day? Is there a way to coordinate the day before, etc.? How early would you suggest having loaders arrive...so as not to pay workers for time where there is no truck to load? Thanks. Debbie,
The moving trucks are generally scheduled to be at you residence first thing in the am (8am). That being said, a number of factors beyond our control can influence the arrival time. So, we suggest that you have your labor arrive at 9am. If they arrive before the truck, they can start staging and preparing things for loading. If the moving truck arrives before them (which it usually does), you can have a cup of coffee while waiting on your labor to arrive.
Most moves go off without a hitch.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Doug M. in NC - March 13, 2008 Can you provide or coordinate unloading assistance at the destination point? Doug,
At the top of this page is a link to Eagle Labor Management. They have a network of moving companies that will unload moving trucks in most major markets (and many "not so major" markets).
If you go their site, there is a request form and phone numbers that you can call to get pricing and availability.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Karen M. in FL - December 30, 2007 Do your drivers help with heavy lifting such as washers and dryersans trunks? Karen,
Movex offers self-service moving. While some drivers are available to assist, this is not contracted through Movex nor insured by us. If you want guaranteed labor at origin or destination, we recommend Eagle Labor Management. There is a link at the top of this page. You can hire helpers through them to assist with the heavy items.
Making Moving Easier, Movex from Anita A. in MO - November 13, 2007 We need to move our daughter from Naperville, IL to St. Louis, MO. We plan to rent a truck but need help in loading the truck. Would that be a service you could provide? Anita,
Movex provides the moving truck, furniture blankets, dolly, tie-downs, loading ramp, and door-to-door transportation.
If you need labor assistance, we recommend Eagle Labor Mgmt. There is a link at the top of this page to their website. They can provide you with qualified labor at a competitive price.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Jo L. in AZ - September 30, 2007 I have a senior parent who recently had a stroke and will be moving in with us. Do you know services in the Chandler or AZ area that will assist with the cost of moving his goods into our home. Jo,
If you need local moving services in Arizona (I believe that is what you are asking for), click on the loading/unloading labor link at the top of this page. Eagle Labor Management has a couple of outstanding movers in Chandler that they can arrange to either move you or load a moving truck for you to move... depending on your needs.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Kitina B. in VA - September 20, 2007 I saw a comment that your drivers stay with the truck. How long is the window for loading and unloading? Kitina,
The time to load and unload the moving truck is based on the amount of space that you have rented for your move. Obviously, the more space that you need, the more time that we would allow for you to load. To determine how much space you need and how much time you will have to load, you can call one of our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Alvin L. in GA - September 9, 2007 How much time do you allow for packing the vehicle and then how soon is the trailer picked up after the items are loaded?
On the unloading end, how long is allowed to unload? Alvin,
The time allocated for loading and unloading the moving trucks is dependant on the size of space that you have rented. An 8ft shipment may only need 2 hours where a full moving truck order may require 2 days. For more information on how long your particular shipment will have, please contact our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Thesssa B. in IL - September 7, 2007 I need help unloading my stuff at my destination. Where can I hire movers to help me unload at my destination? Thessa,

Making Moving Better, Movex from Jim W. in CA - September 6, 2007 My car is a low sports car (less than 4.5 feet tall). Is it possible to deck over a car and use the space above for additional items? I see this done all the time in logistics moving vans. Would I have to construct my own decking or is that part of the van equipment? Thanks. Jim,
We do not provide decking as there are some nuances with using it that, if done improperly, can cause damage to your car or household goods. The moving trucks do have the tracking in the walls for decking, so if you wish to provide your own materials, you may use if for that purpose. As a disclaimer, Movex will not be responsible for any damages to your car or goods caused by use of decking.
Making Moving Better, Movex from frank N. in OR - September 2, 2007 how much time do you allow for loading and unloading Frank,
The amount of time you have for loading and unloading the moving truck depends on how much space you have ordered. We give you anywhere from 4 hours for a minimal shipment to as much as 48 hours for a full moving van.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Joanne D. in NH - August 16, 2007 how long do we have the truck to load it? Joanne,
The time allotted to load the moving truck depends on the amount of space that you reserve for your move. Obviously, the more space on the moving truck that you are taking, the more time you have. We allow ample time for any size shipment. When getting quote from our relocation specialists, they will walk you through the entire process and fill in the details of loading and unloading time.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Deanna P. in CA - August 7, 2007 I can pack up a house. No problem. I can unload the truck. Again, no problem. But how do you load a truck? That is, besides heavy/large things first (??) and on the bottom, any other tips? Any special tips on using the tie downs? Will the driver be available to answer questions? I know he can't help load, but can he more or less supervise? Thank you! Deanna,
Moving is not rocket science. You have the basics down.... heavy stuff on the bottom, light stuff on the top. The straps and tie downs inside the moving truck are truly self explanatory... very easy to use. The drivers oftentimes will give helpful advise on loading. That being said, they will not "supervise" your loading, just give some helpful tips.
Making Moving Better, Movex from ben S. in NY - August 7, 2007 Do you know of any services I can pay to load the truck? Ben,
Check out a link on our top nav bar. The loading/unloading link will take you to a company that specializes in loading and unloading of rental trucks. They have great pricing and good service.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Lance S. in NV - July 25, 2007 My only big concern is the pickup and delivery times. Not so much the dates, but the hours. This concern is based off of the people I will hire to load and unload the truck. For example, if I hire a company to come and load the truck this Friday, because that is the date your quote has on it, what time do I tell them to come (as you have a window from 8 AM to 12 AM)? The follow up question is; is there a way to secure a smaller window, such as from 8 AM to 9 AM? I really don't want to pay 8 guys for 4 hours to do nothing. The same questions would apply at the destination. Thank you. Lance,
You have a very liberal amount of time in which to load the moving truck. I would recommend that you have your labor come at 10 am. That way, if the driver is early, he will set things up and you won't be under any pressure from your labor. If the driver arrives later, say 12, your labor could have already been staging your furniture and getting it ready so that loading can commence as soon as the driver arrives. The reason we give an 8 to 12 window is obvious in that traffic and 18 wheelers don't mix well. This can cause unexpected delays. We always try to have the moving trucks in position at 8am. We give the 8 to 12 window to hedge our bets and set a proper expectation with the customers.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Judy S. in CO - July 19, 2007 We are needing someone to help us load and unload the truck. Do you have or know of someone who can help us with that? Thanks for your help Judy,
At the top of this page is a link to Eagle Labor Management. They have a fantastic network of service providers in most markets and can give you a guaranteed price for loading and unloading... they can also help you with just the heavy pieces if you want to save some money.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Deborah M. in MI - July 10, 2007 7-10-07 Hello,
We are moving from MI to NC. Do you contract with anyone to load and unload for a fee? Also, we need to move on 8-15. Will that date be available?
Thank you, Deborah Deborah,
We have an extensive network and can service just about any point in the country on any day. So, we should be fine for your move on the 15th.
We do not contract out for loading and unloading of the moving trucks. If you need that service, please visit Eagle Labor Management at the loading/unloading link at the top of this page. They do a great job and can get you rates and availability for your shipment.
Making Moving Better, Movex from vivian J. in OR - June 29, 2007 Thanks for the answer, but we do have the normal house staff (we own a house now) need to be moved,so can we move all the staff with the piano by one trip ? if we need extra help with load the piano into the truck,do your company have this kind of service ,I mean only load and unload the piano from the truck to the house for us? how much is that? Thanks, Vivian.
Vivian,
You can order as much as an entire 53' moving truck for your move. While we cannot assist you with the loading and unloading, you can click on the link at the top of this site and request that service from Eagle Labor Mgmt. They specialize in that service and have providers in most major markets to help you.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Charles F. in MD - June 21, 2007 How much time do I have to load and unload? We need the truck to load on a Friday and pick up on Monday to go to destination. Is this possible? Charles,
The amount of time that you have to load the moving truck depends on the amount of space that you have ordered. If you need a small amount of space, say 8ft, you might only have 4 hours to load. If you rent the entire moving van, you would get an entire day for loading. This time of year (busy season), getting an entire weekend to load is possible, but it does cost extra.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Jennifer U. in FL - June 15, 2007 Does your movers load my items onto the trailer, or do I? Jennifer,
Movex provides the moving truck transportation piece only. You can either load the items yourself, or you can contact Eagle Labor Mgmt (link at the top of this website) and they can get you competitive pricing for loading and unloading moving trucks anywhere in the country.
Making Moving Better Movex from Richard R. in CO - June 15, 2007 Dear Movex Movers, I need to have my belongings (approx 1 bedrrom apt with appliances, bed, sofa's, dressers table/chairs, etc. and LOTS of boxes) from my home in Denver CO, to a storage facility ALSO in DENVER. I know you are not a storage company, but would you be less expensive with your "Linear Foot" charges than a traditional moving company to move this SHORT distance? My storage requirements will be for at least 4-5 months. At that time I would have you move my belongings from the staorage facility to another address in the Denver Metro area. What do you reccommend? Would you be less or more expensive? Also I will need help in the LOADING of my belongings INTO your moving truck. I can do the packing of boxes, but cannot lift. Where on your web site is the icon to click on to hire Loading help? I don't see it. Thank you in advance, Richard Ricketts Richard,
Movex can only provide state-to-state service on the moving trucks. So, local moves and storage are "out of our wheelhouse".
If you need local assistance in Denver, I would suggest visiting the website for Eagle Labor Management (link at the top of this page). The work with moving companies all over the country and could probably get you some excellent rates locally.
Making Moving Better Movex from Rhonda B. in CA - June 9, 2007 Do you load and unload? How much extra to transport a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon with furniture? 1 bedroom apartment. from 94804 to Overland Park, KS. Rhonda,
Movex will be able to help you with securing the moving truck piece of your move. While we do not offer loading and unloading, we have a link on our website to companies that provide that service at a competitive rate.
One of our relocation specialists will be contacting you shortly to provide pricing for your move and for the auto.
Making Moving Better, Movex from jerry N. in ND - June 3, 2007 do you do one way moving and if so do you unlode the truck Jerry,
I am assuming that you are asking if we do long-distance moving. Yes, we do. In fact, our service really only makes sense for moves that are farther than 300 miles. While we do not provide unloading service, you can find them by clicking on the Load/Unload link at the top of this page. Eagle Labor Managment is a national loading/unloading company that provides quality service at a competitive price.
Making Moving Better, Movex from ART D. in CA - June 2, 2007 how many allowable days do we have to load the container ? and or if you leave it on friday, do we have the entire weekend to load it and then you guys will pick-up on monday ? Art,
For clarification, Movex actually provides service on moving vans, not containers. The amount of time that you have to load depends on the amount of space that you have reserved on the moving truck. If you call our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839, they can assist you with how much time you have for the space you reserve.
Thanks, Movex from Carol K. in TX - May 31, 2007 We are going to be loading the truck ourselves. Are there any guidelines we should follow? i.e. heavy stuff towards the cab... Carol,
While there are no "rules" for loading moving trucks, there are a couple of tricks that may help. First and foremost, all moving vans provided by Movex come with furniture blankets.. use them! Make sure that your wood furniture is well padded. Even something as harmless as a cardboard box can damage your wood furniture if it is sitting on it without a blanket in between.
Load your bulkiest items first. Couches should be stood on end and strapped to the wall. Use the smaller items to "fill in" the areas around the bulky items.
Use common sense. Don't load heavy items on top of light items. Moving is not rocket science and an ounce of thoughtful prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Movex from Petrina S. in NY - May 12, 2007 How long do I have to load the trailer, how long to get to FL and how long to unload. What if I have to change the date. Petrina,
We always allow ample time to load and unload the moving truck. You can discuss your needs with a relocation specialist at 800-876-6839 and they will walk you through the process.
Changing dates is as easy as sending us an email stating that you want to change dates. With the current real estate market, this is happening a lot.
Movex from Anju M. in OH - May 4, 2007 Dear Movex, Once my furniture is loaded onto the truck, will be my furniture be off loaded to accommodate other customers' furniture? Please assume that I will only need 6"8"9" compartment. Basically, once my furniture is on the truck, will it be moved from the truck until delivery? Thank you, Anju Mathew Anju, 90% of damages are caused by excessive handling. Once you load your furniture onto the moving truck into its private compartment, it is never offloaded (unless there is an equipment failure that gives us no other option, in which event you would be notified prior to transfer). We pride ourselves on door-to-door direct shipments. Movex from Richard H. in NY - May 3, 2007 It is not really clear how much time you have to load and unload the trailer. If the driver stays with the trailer, do you only have so many hours to load? Richard, We allow anywhere from 4 hours to 48 hours to load the moving truck. The time allowed depends on the size of your load. If you need extra time, simply request it when you make your reservation. We are here to serve you and meet your needs. Movex from Deborah F. in PA - April 30, 2007 Your service looks appealing. When I moved to PA 2 years ago, my biggest problem was finding someone to unload the truck. Consequently it took 3 days to unload. Do you have any contacts that would help me find loaders/unloaders? If not, is there any flexibility in the amount of time to load/unload? Deborah, Check out the link in the nav bar at the top of this page to loading/unloading. Eagle Labor Mgmt has great resources all over the country and will get you good movers at a good price. Also, we to have flexibility with the load/unload time... just ask your relocation specialist when you book your move. Movex from kenneth C. in CA - April 30, 2007 How many days do i have loading days?
For example, I would like to finish loading on May 11, 2007, when I can start to loading?
thanks, Kenneth, Generally, we allow you 1 full day to load. We do not like to leave trucks at a residence overnight and unattended. If you are using the whole truck and would like an extra day to load, we can make those arrangements for you. Just let your representative know when you are booking your move. Making Moving Better Movex from Patricia J. in WA - April 30, 2007 I used your service two years ago to move from Virginia to Washington State. At that time, (I don't remember the details), you also arranged for a crew to load for me. My aged parents are now wanting to move from California to Texas their two-bedroom apartment full of things. Can you arrange for a crew to load and unload for them? Patricia, Movex never has made arrangements for loading and unloading. By law we cannot do that (only full-service movers can). You must have arranged labor through our affiliate, Eagle Labor Mgmt. If you click on the loading/unloading link on our nav bar at the top of this page, you can go to their website and request a quote for loading and unloading. from DANIEL T. in PA - April 24, 2007 I am looking to move from 16403 to approximately 33701 or surrounding area within the St Petersburg City Limits. My concern is that I have a truck / car / motorcycle to get there as well. What do you recommend?
Thanks. Daniel, I would recommend moving it on the same moving truck with your household goods. The trucks are broken down into separate compartments. You can order extra space and use our car-strength loading ramps to load your car, truck, or motorcycle. Please call our office at 800-876-6839 and a relocation specialist can prepare pricing for you. Making Moving Better Movex from Richard C. in PA - April 21, 2007 Do you offer a service where your crew would simply load a rented moving truck provided by us and that would be all they would need to do? We would do the driving and unloading.
Thanks.
Please check out Eagle Labor Management (a link at the top of this site). While Movex does not provide any loading or unloading labor services, they do. Making Moving Better Movex from susan Z. in AZ - April 19, 2007 I am only moving a short distance away, but i might need more than 12hrs to load everything, are there other options available? Susan, If you need extra time, just let your relocation specialist know and they will work with you for a solution that fits your moving needs. Making Moving Better Movex from Stephen J. in CA - April 12, 2007 What does the driver do during the 12 hour load and unload time? Generally he smokes cigarettes and drinks beer.... just kidding.
Sometimes the drivers will leave if you are loading a full truck. Sometimes, he will offer to help. Other times, he will get some much needed rest in the sleeper of his truck. It all depends on the situation. Making Moving Better Movex from Lydia R. in IL - April 9, 2007 Is there a way to schedule the time or date of drop off to ensure that someone is there to unload truck? How long does a person have to unload their belongings from truck? Lydia, We can accommodate your schedule. Please call our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839 to work out the details of your move. Thank you. Movex from Adrienne G. in VT - April 6, 2007 How does loading time work? We were given a quote of 12 hours to load and 12 to unload, will the truck arrive at 7 am and leave at 7 pm or ???? Adrienne, We ask that you allow for a 4 hour window (trucks generally arrive between 8 and noon). If we run out of daylight, we will hold over and finish your 12 hours the following morning if necessary. Making Moving Better, Movex from JM G. in CO - April 2, 2007 I have chosen a 2 bedroom as the size to move, either 10 or 12 feet was offered to me. How long does the company allow me to load the vehicle, then also to unload the vehicle, since the drivers remain with the vehicle and are being paid by the company. What is the charege for going over the allowed time ? JM, For a shipment of that size, the moving truck will standby for 6 hours at each end. After 6 hours, the charge is $40 per hour. If you think that 6 hours will not be enough, request more in advance and the cost will be half that. Making Moving Better Movex from Travis E. in NV - March 30, 2007 I have some bulky garage tools. Do you carry decking bars on your trucks to make loading over these items easier? Travis, All of the moving trucks are equipped with slotted walls where you can hook straps and decking bars. Most trucks are not equipped for the decking that you are talking about here. When making your reservation, make sure that you speak to your relocation specialist about requesting this. Making Moving Better Movex from howie C. in WA - March 28, 2007 Do I get the truck for a few days to load/unload or is it all done on the same pick up and drop off date? Also I could possibly be moving from Seattle to Western MA, and I need to know how many travel days I would have to meet the truck on the east coast? Thanks Howie, The length of time to load the moving truck is dictated by how much of the moving truck you are going to be using. Smaller shipments allow for less time than larger ones. If you call our offices, a relocation specialist can help you with what will meet your needs best. Transit time coast to coast will be from 5 to 7 days. Making Moving Better Movex from Charity L. in CA - March 21, 2007 Dear Movex, I know that I have the option of purchasing extra space once the truck arrives; I was wondering the price per foot for purchasing on the spot. Also, does the driver of the truck remain there during the duration of the loading/unloading process? Charity, The price per foot "on the spot" is simply equal to the price you contracted for. For example, if you ordered 18ft for $1800, and you needed 20ft, your cost would be $2000. We allow up to 4ft of on the spot overage (subject to availability). If you are concerned about your space, order a little extra in advance. On the scenario above, the 20ft shipment ordered in advance might have only cost $1875 where "on the spot" it would have cost you 2k. Hope that makes sense. If it doesn't, give us a call and we can explain in more detail. Making Moving Better Movex from Charity L. in CA - March 18, 2007 Hi. I have a few questions. I have already registered for a free quote. I was looking at a 10ft-12ft amount of space. How much time would I have to load the truck with that amount of space? If I needed more space on the spot can I purchase it then? I saw that I can purchase more time for 40$ and hour. I am very interested in your company and plan to book for moving very soon. Charity, For 10-12ft of space on the moving truck, we would generally allow 6 hours to load. You can purchase up to 4ft of additional space on the truck if it is available (lesson here is order extra if you think you would need it... if you are the last person on the truck, it might not be available). We are looking forward to helping you with your move. Making Moving Better, Movex from Adrienne G. in VT - March 13, 2007 I have been given a quote, and was wondering if we could get more time to load/unload (12 hours is what we get)and if so what is the cost? Adrienne, Do you need an extra day or just a few extra hours? If you just need a few hours, it is $40 per hour. If you need a whole day, you will need to speak to a relocation specialist. They can get you a reasonable flat rate for extra loading days. Making Moving Better Movex from Rhoda M. in CA - March 11, 2007 At an extra fee do you provide someone at request to assist with lifting of furniture; a couch, TV, office desk (small). I am a single female and could lift most any size box, but I am limited to smaller items of furniture. Rhoda, On our website we have a link at the top that says "Loading/Unloading". That will take you to Eagle Labor Management who specializes in that type of help. They can assist you at loading and/or unloading. Making Moving Better Movex from Adrienne G. in VT - March 11, 2007 How long do we get to load and un load? If we need to change the date of the move, is there a penalty (with a three or four week notice)? Adrienne, The amount of time that you get to load or unload the moving truck depends on how much space you have reserved. We allow ample time for you at both ends. There is no penalty to change the date of your move as long as we have 72 hours notice. Within 72 hours, we have a truck rerouting fee. Making Moving Better Movex from LA L. in CA - March 4, 2007 Does movex account for the time it takes to load when the place you are moving is on the 3rd level and you either have to use the flight of stairs and/or slow moving elevator. LA, We always give you ample time to load and unload your moving truck. If you think that time is going to be an issue or you need an extra day to load, no problem. Let your representative know when you make your reservation and they will gladly assist you. Making Moving Better Movex from Richard R. in TX - March 2, 2007 How much time is alotted for the loading and unloading for your 36 and 48 foot trucks. When does the time start and what if you need more time. Is scheduling flexible in case of inclement weather Richard,
For shipments that size, it can take some time to load and unload. We allow 12 hours to do so. If you need more time to get all of your household onto the moving truck, it is $40 per hour for the driver to standby.
Inclement weather is the bane of the moving business and yes, we sometimes need to have flexibility in the event of inclement weather. Spring is coming!
Making Moving Better, Movex from Patricia K. in WA - February 23, 2007 Is it possible to hire people from movex to help load and unload the trailer? Patricia,
We refer customers to a company that sets up that type of labor all over the country. If you call our office at 800-876-6839 and ask for Ross at xt.2008, he can help you with pricing and procuring loading or unloading help.
Making Moving Better, Movex. from sharon V. in CA - February 18, 2007 how much time do you allow for loading are the drivers waiting or do they come back at end of day? Sharon,
The amount of space that you order on the moving truck determines how much time you have. We do allow ample time for all loading. As mentioned in the previous post, the driver does wait while you load the truck so that you do not have a moving van parked in front of your house indefinitely (a drawback our competitors do not mention).
I hope we can be of assistance.
Making Moving Better, Movex from Diana Y. in MD - February 8, 2007 I need to know, if I use your service to help me find someone to load the truck,do I pack the boxes or will they? Diana,
We can put you in contact with movers at origin that would be happy to pack your boxes if you wish.
The Movex Web Team from Jennie S. in CA - January 26, 2007 Are there moving services in Santa Monica, CA that will unload a truck of furniture/boxes into my new apartment? Jennie, Yes there are and we can help you with pricing and contacting them. Please call our office and ask for Ross at xt. 2008, he is our labor coordinator. Even if you have a truck from another rental truck provider, we can help you get the labor you need. Thanks, The Movex Web Team from Gordon M. in FL - January 24, 2007 My wife and I are elderly, and will need people to load and unload. How much will that add to the cost of a move from Boca Raton to Greer, SC? Gordon, Loading and unloading cost depends on how much space you have rented on the moving truck. For exact pricing, please call our office at 800-876-6839 and ask to speak to Ross at extension 2008. He would be glad to assist you. Thanks, The Movex Web Team from Steven K. in NE - January 22, 2007 When moving ,I will load but can someone unload boxes at place? I know this will be more but how much? Steven, We can help you with unloading labor at destination. Our in-house specialist who manages this is Ross. His number is 800-876-6839 xt. 2008. He would be happy to help with arrangements and will get you pricing. Pricing depends on how much stuff you are shipping and where the moivng truck is being unloaded. Thanks, The Movex Web Team from diana Y. in MD - January 12, 2007 do you have people that can help load the truck? If not, how long would I have to load the truck? We have a rather large network of small local moving companies that are able to assist you with loading and unloading. If you call 800-876-6839 and ask for extension 2008, we have a rep that will assist you with pricing and get you in contact with them. These movers are not employees of Movex and can help you with loading trucks provided by Movex or any other rental truck that you have. We will be glad to help you either way. Thank you, The Movex Web Team from Roslyn L. in NY - January 8, 2007 Moving contents from Florida to NY - do you need to physically put the contents on the truck yourself? Roslyn, Yes and no. Movex provides door-to-door transportation services. Many of our clients save themselves a lot of money by doing the loading and unloading themselves. If you need assistance with that, we can help you with pricing and availability with labor services that can help you load and unload. Movex provides this as a free service for you (you still pay the loaders and unloaders, but Movex does not participate in that revenue). If you call our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839, they can put together the package that works best for you. Thanks, The Movex Web Team from LESLIE H. in CA - December 31, 2006 WE ARE MOVING FROM WASH. TO CA. WE HAVE NO PROBLEM LOADING BUT UNLOADING MUGHT BE A PROBLEM SINCE "OUR FRIENDS" WON TBE THERE. CAN YOU HIRE OUT YOUR DRIVERS TO HELP UNPACK AND IF SO, FOR HOW MUCH? Leslie, You are in luck. Movex has a free service that matches you with small moving companies and loading and unloading providers all over the country. Our drivers are great drivers, but not great loaders and unloaders (some are, but not all). If you (or anyone reading this post) call our office at 800-876-6839 and speak to Ross at xt. 2008, he can get you pricing and contact info for movers anywhere in the country.
