Movex is probably not going to be a good option for you. I would recommend taking your items to the UPS store and shipping them down here. That is probably going to be your least-expensive option for a small shipment like that.

Sounds like we need to raise our rates if that is your question! LOL. Really though, Movex is very competitive in a number of areas that we call our "zones". These are areas where a lot of our customers move and we have trucks on a weekly basis. Each truck holds several Movex shipments, so you are sharing the cost of the cross-country relocation with the others on board. I should also take the time here to remind you that each customer gets a private compartment on those moving trucks. Your stuff is never mixed with somebody else's.
So, if you are in one of our zones, you will get the best service at the best possible price. We might not be as inexpensive in all areas, but, in this lean economy, Movex's commitment is to be as competitive as possible.

currently phone is out of service to be able to be called, I would like a quote for moving. I am moving from jamestown NY to enterprise Or. You are obviously not comparing apples to apples. Like my grandaddy used to say, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.". It makes absolutely no sense that we would charge more for a self-service move than you would be charged for a full-service move.

While the rates often remain the same for a month at a time, you picked a bad month. In the last 30 days, fuel prices have increased $.70 a gallon. Moving trucks are in highest demand in the summer. Our rates go up about 7% in May. Our quote generator already has this increase built into it. So if you put in a price for June, it should be accurate (there might be some fuel cost adjustments, but nothing too significant).
